Odds and Ends - Aug 25
The Wall is looking great. The barriers blocking the stairway are still up because the railings have been removed so that they can be sanded and repainted.
A big thank you to Pat Stoute for making sure that everybody could get in the doors to Bliss Gillmor last Sunday. People were then able to go through the hall and up the stairs to the Narthex.
The Food Shelf is a busy place and Lynda Hughes let me know that it is in need of Kraft Dinner, canned vegetables, cereal, pasta sauce and pork and beans. So once again Irv Dyck went through this week’s flyers to find the best deals on those items.

Sunday morning crew
Just to let you know there are openings for some spots on the Sunday Morning Crew. This is the fun group that meets you as you come in the front door.
The Greeter/Squirter obviously greets you with a smile, asks a few questions about Covid, gives you a squirt of hand sanitizer.
The Elevator Lady or Man keeps an eye out for anyone needing to use the elevator. When they spot someone they open the elevator for them and bring them up to the Narthex. This is kind of an up and down job.
Sidespeople get to show people where they can sit and guide people when it is time for communion. This position is great for a person who has always wanted to tell somebody where to go.
If you feel that you would like to fill one of these positions, even on a now and then basis, please call Dawn at 705-472-6070 or send an email to email@example.com
