Odds and Ends - Mar. 31
I have been asked by a number of people if I have any idea when the church will be able to open its doors for Sunday services. Archbishop Anne understands the frustration of many of us who don't know when we will be able to get back to in person services. However, she and the incumbents will be meeting after Easter to discuss possibilities. I will let you know what their thoughts are after the meeting.
The numbers of people using the Food Shelf are growing and Lynda Hughes and all the volunteers have asked me to extend a huge thank you for your generosity.
This week's shopping list includes powdered milk, canned vegetables and pasta sauce. As usual Irv Dyck has checked the flyers to see where the best prices are for these items.

Giant Tiger: Del Monte Canned Vegetables 398 ml at 97 cents and Hunt's Pasta Sauce 680 ml tin 99 cents.
Even though we are not in church, the first edition of The Diviner for 2021 has been created. As you may remember Larry Claus has retired and Erik Rogers is the new editor. Here is the link to the website and The Diviner. Enjoy. I would also suggest that more people can submit stories to The Diviner for the next edition. You might want to tell a story of any positive things that you have experienced during COVID lockdown. I have heard from people that while they get frustrated not being able to do all the things they used to do the restrictions have given them time to do some of the things that have been sitting on the back burner for a long time.
Although I can't be with my family and co-ordinate the annual Easter egg hunt I have decided to hide doggie treats for Maggie, my dog, to see if she can find them all.I'll let you know how successful that is.
Sandra Minor sent me a link to a Utube site that features two young sisters singing a very beautiful adaptation of Leonard Cohan's Hallelujah. I have watched it several times and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes. So, I am going to pass it on to you. Let me know what you think.
Remember everyone to Keep the Faith,
