Sponsored Guatemalan Students

St. John’s sponsored 5 students in Guatemala. They’re named Fredy, Evelin and Lesly, who have since graduated, as well as Jazmin and Andrea. Colin Thacker a loyal member of the church has spearheaded this program beginning in 2015 through his involvement with the Rotary Club. For many years, Colin and his wife Marlene have visited Guatemala and the students. Colin is now a chair for this committee and Irv Dyck is spearheading the operation.

Currently, we’re sponsoring 2 new students. Their names are Liliana and Yesenia. They’re both in the 7th grade and we will be sponsoring them until they graduate.
